WindowSwap: weird website review & sites like it

WindowSwap lets you look out of a stranger's window, anywhere in the world. You click through windows shared by real people, each with the ambient sound of its location. You can even share your own. Its page title calls it the calmest place on the internet. Our research dates it to 2020. When you arrive, you hit a button and a new view appears: a city street, a mountain, a balcony, a rainy yard. There is no goal. It is a quiet way to travel and to feel connected to people you will never meet. It works on phones and desktops. Turn the sound on for the full effect. Tip: leave it running while you work and swap windows when the mood changes. If you like it, Radio Garden and the live cams on our list offer similar calm.

Tips for getting the most out of it

Turn the sound on.
Share your own window if you like.
Swap when the mood changes.
