Your verdict:

Space Elevator puts you in a scroll-driven ride up through the layers of Earth's atmosphere. As you rise, planes, balloons, animals and record-setting objects appear at the altitudes where they belong, with a short fact on each layer. It starts on the ground and keeps climbing until you are well past where the sky turns black.

There is an optional elevator music button, which you should obviously use. It transforms an educational trip into a sketch about an unusually long elevator ride.

It is part of Neal Agarwal's neal.fun collection and works on phones. The ride takes about five minutes, longer if you stop to read the facts. It pairs naturally with The Deep Sea, which does the same trick in the other direction: one goes up, the other goes down.

Tips for getting the most out of it

  • Turn on the elevator music.
  • Read the facts at each layer as they appear.
  • Try The Deep Sea afterward for the opposite trip.
