Submission Guidelines: What We Accept (and Reject)

Submission guidelines

We love finding sites we did not know existed. If you have one, please send it through the submission form. To save us both time, here is what we are looking for and what we are not.

What we accept

  • Sites that are odd, delightful or wonderful. A strong central idea, a sense of craft, or a good joke. Small, personal and independent sites are especially welcome.
  • Free to enjoy. The main experience should work without payment. Optional donations and discreet ads are fine.
  • No signup needed for the good part. A quick human check is fine. Making an account before you see anything is not.
  • Stable and working. The page must load, on its own domain, and have a clear purpose that we can describe accurately.
  • Safe for work, in general. Mature themes can be fine in context (for example, a horror-fiction wiki), but they must be flagged, and we may add a content note.
  • Your own work or someone else's. Tick "I made this" if it is yours. If it is not, tell us how you found it, and we will credit you as the finder.

What we reject

  • Adult or NSFW content, including sites whose main appeal is sexual or graphically violent.
  • Gambling and betting, including "social casino" sites.
  • Crypto, NFT and get-rich-quick projects.
  • Malware, phishing, scams and deceptive downloads. Any site that tries to install something, steal information or trick you.
  • Aggressive advertising. Pop-ups, pop-unders, forced redirects, auto-playing video ads, fake close buttons or pages where the content is hard to find among the ads.
  • AI slop farms. Sites that exist mainly to publish mass-produced, machine-generated pages for traffic. (A creative or experimental AI toy with a clear idea is a different thing, and many are welcome.)
  • Spam, link farms and SEO pages, including sites that exist to sell links or promote something else.
  • Parked, for-sale or expired domains.
  • Harassment, hate and private information about real people.
  • Duplicates of sites we already list.
  • Paywalled or login-first products, and apps that are really sales funnels.

How review works

  1. Automated checks. We confirm the URL resolves, that it is not parked or redirecting to another domain, and that it does not match our block lists. We also check for duplicates.
  2. A human looks at it. One of our editors visits the site, decides whether it belongs, writes the description, picks the category, mood and time-to-enjoy, and adds any content notes.
  3. We decide. We accept, ask for changes or decline. We cannot reply to every submission individually, and a "no" does not mean your site is bad, only that it is not a fit for us.

Credit and claiming

Accepted sites show "Found by" with your name or handle if you want it. Creators can claim and edit their listing through email verification.

Removing a site

If you own a site we list and want it removed or corrected, please contact us and we will act promptly.

Before you submit

Check that your site loads on desktop and mobile, tell us about anything we should warn people about, and keep your pitch to a sentence or two. See also About and How We Check Links.
